Biography

Prof Abina Crean is a Professor of Pharmaceutics at the School of Pharmacy, University College Cork (UCC), and a Medicines theme leader in the SSPC, the SFI Research Centre for Pharmaceuticals. She leads a Pharmaceutical Technology research group in UCC focused on the development and manufacture of high quality, effective pharmaceutical formulations through thorough investigation of the properties and associated behaviour of constituent materials (both API and excipients). A key element of her research is active collaborative projects with pharmaceutical companies both SME and large multi-nationals.
