Biography

Dr David Mincher is Reader in Experimental Chemotherapy, in the School of Applied Sciences, Edinburgh Napier University. David has expertise in organic and medicinal chemistry and preclinical cancer biology with 3 decades of experience in teaching, supervision and commercialisation of research. Interests focus on cancer therapeutics; specifically the design of new anticancer and anti-inflammatory prodrugs for activation and selective cancer cell targeting in the tumour microenvironment. David has established MSc courses in Drug Design and Biomedical Science, and Pharmaceutical and Analytical Science with the firm objective to foster two-way knowledge exchange with the Pharmaceutical Industries.
